Besides sustaining safety standards in the UK, we provide added value throughout the industry, on an international scale. We have a vital role to play in promoting best practice regulation across Europe. We aim to be a leading partner in EASA, the European Aviation Safety Agency, and via our Safety Regulation Group we have a clear sense of direction – to influence and implement Government policy towards the new European regulatory framework.

The CAA is an extremely varied organisation. We have a broad spectrum of business areas, each requiring particular skills, knowledge and experience.

We are based at two main locations, in Central London and Gatwick, but in order to work closely with the aviation industry we also have regional offices and exam centres at sites throughout England and Scotland.
