We are looking for an experienced PA to join our busy office and support our Head of General Aviation Unit/ Policy Support Officer

The Personal Assistant (PA) to the Head of the General Aviation (GA) Unit provides a reliable, efficient and confidential PA service. They are, in many instances, the first point of contact for enquiries and therefore must present in a competent and professional manner.

The successful applicant will also provide Operational and Policy support to the GA Unit, including managing projects, researching and writing briefs, answering queries and ensuring team members have the resources required to work efficiently and effectively.

The Role:
- Provide a full and confidential PA service to the Head of GA Unit, working as part of a team and often on own initiative
- Deliver reliable email and calendar management, and prove efficient administration and secretarial support
- Liaise with GA Unit Managers, other CAA staff and industry stakeholders on behalf of the Head of GA Unit
- Assist in ensuring policies are developed that are consistent with safety and business needs
- Provide project management as assigned by GA Unit Management
- Obtain contributions for, assemble, and then edit management reports and papers.
- Plan all required paperwork, travel arrangements and other administrative arrangements for the Head of GA as required

About You:
-You should have previous experience working as a personal assistant and be familiar with the required duties.
-You will need to have excellent administration skills to work in this busy and rewarding department and have the ability to deal with changing requests.
-You will need to be highly proficient in MS Office, have fast and accurate typing and be extremely organised.
-You should be comfortable working under pressure and be able to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities. You will be dealing with stakeholders across the business so using initiative and discretion is vital.
-The ability to clearly communicate and work efficiently and effectively will be crucial in this role. In return we will give you exposure to a fantastic team and a key department within the CAA.

Types of Information

CAA's ATS maintains personal information that you voluntarily submit electronically on one or more secured servers. The CAA will delete all personal information associated with unsuccessful applications after two years following an unsuccessful application. If your application results in an offer, CAA retain your personal information for the duration of our relationship with you, following which condensed employee file details are kept for 7 years. Thereafter, personal details (including full name, years of service, date and reason for leaving) are kept for a period of 30 years to enable CAA to provide information for referencing requests.

Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted by you and contained within the ATS is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Knowingly submitting inaccurate, false, or misleading information may make you ineligible for consideration for employment opportunities, and in some cases where CAA rely upon such information, may lead to termination of employment with CAA. CAA takes all reasonable steps to ensure that information collected within the ATS by its employees and representatives is correct, however, CAA will rely upon you to access the ATS periodically to update or verify your personal information and to confirm your willingness to receive communications from CAA.

Withdrawing from Participation

Participants in CAA's ATS should contact CAA via email directed to: FOI.requests@caa.co.uk. Indicating whether they wish to withdraw from a particular competition or alternatively, from all participation in the ATS. Further rights as a data subject can be found here. Contact details of the CAA's Data Protection Officer can be found here. You have a right to complain to the ICO about the CAA's processing of personal data.
