We'll give you the tools and experience within a safe environment to build a successful career within our Portfolio Delivery function either within project management, PMO, Business Change and more.
Day to day you'll be supporting the Portfolio Delivery Director with calendar management, travel arrangements as well as handling the inbox and dealing with emails accordingly. Within this part of the role you will gain a vast amount of exposure to senior management, creating presentations for Executive level and the possibility of chairing meetings which will be project dependent. As you become confident in the role and are ready for the next stage, we will give you the opportunity to run with some small projects giving you the opportunity to grow your project experience and knowledge.
You'll also work closely with Project Managers ensuring projects are progressing in line with our delivery framework whilst tracking and recording risks, issues and dependencies. Some of the key tasks you'll be responsible for are:
- Communicating key messages to help handle and mitigate risk across the portfolio.
- Help ensure appropriate governance practices are being followed.
- Ensure that project and programme standards are regularly communicated and operated.
- Help to maintain all centrally held PMO documentation (such as trackers and logs), ensuring these are accurate, up to date and communicated as appropriate.
- Assist in the reporting of key Management Information including assisting the development of reporting documents for a number of audiences, including Leadership Team and Executive Committee.
- Track key actions and decisions and communication of these with all affected.
Ideally you'll have worked as a PA within a project environment and be keen to progress your career within this area. You'll need to be very organised and be able to work at a fast pace whilst using your initiative in dealing with queries.
If you already have an understanding of project methodologies and delivery methods such as Prince 2, PMP, agile, incremental this will be hugely helpful for you.
The role is based in Gatwick but there will be occasional travel needed to our London office, especially in the first six months, depending on projects.

Types of Information
CAA's ATS maintains personal information that you voluntarily submit electronically on one or more secured servers. The CAA will delete all personal information associated with unsuccessful applications after two years following an unsuccessful application. If your application results in an offer, CAA retain your personal information for the duration of our relationship with you, following which condensed employee file details are kept for 7 years. Thereafter, personal details (including full name, years of service, date and reason for leaving) are kept for a period of 30 years to enable CAA to provide information for referencing requests.
Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted by you and contained within the ATS is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Knowingly submitting inaccurate, false, or misleading information may make you ineligible for consideration for employment opportunities, and in some cases where CAA rely upon such information, may lead to termination of employment with CAA. CAA takes all reasonable steps to ensure that information collected within the ATS by its employees and representatives is correct, however, CAA will rely upon you to access the ATS periodically to update or verify your personal information and to confirm your willingness to receive communications from CAA.
Withdrawing from Participation
Participants in CAA's ATS should contact CAA via email directed to: FOI.firstname.lastname@example.org. Indicating whether they wish to withdraw from a particular competition or alternatively, from all participation in the ATS. Further rights as a data subject can be found here. Contact details of the CAA's Data Protection Officer can be found here. You have a right to complain to the ICO about the CAA's processing of personal data.
Acceptance of the Data Protection Agreement
