Consultation and networks

Throughout the Civil Aviation Authority, we are committed to communicating openly with our colleagues and taking people’s views on board.

Our employee forum includes representatives from across the organisation and meets monthly to discuss key issues within the CAA. It also includes representatives from our recognised trade unions, PCS and Prospect.

A transformation forum is also in place to ensure that employees are informed on how we collectively make change happen across the organisation.

We carry out an annual colleague engagement survey to understand where we are performing well and where we could do better in making the CAA a great place to work.

A cycle of regular briefings and events helps us to ensure that everyone in the CAA knows where we are heading and how we are performing.

We also have a number of established networks that help our employees to connect with and support each other.

Connect is an informal mentoring network that helps people to learn new skills, build confidence and broaden their horizons.

Future Faces is a network of people in the early stages of their careers who meet regularly, share experiences, support each other professionally and get together socially.

CAA Social is a membership organisation (requiring a small monthly subscription) that coordinates amateur sports, recreational activities, discounted show tickets and social events.
